Social Media is an unfortunate name, with its focus on media and assumed relationship to other business media (print, TV, radio, etc.). The first step in understanding the use and power of social media is to realize that it is not about the media – it is about the social.
For product development and project management, effective use of social media can mean increased communication, improved teamwork, and a significantly better chance of creating the product the customers want.
In this talk I will cover some of the current social media tools for product development and project management, as well as give examples from companies successfully using them today.
About the speaker: Sigmund Fidyke is a Chief Technical Officer with a passion for innovation. Creating new products and new product categories, Sigmund has over 40 products to his name, a number of restored company innovation reputations, and a focus on figuring out where technology is going to be in the near future.
As President of Custom Software, Sigmund offers contract CTO and COO services for software and cloud-solutions companies, relentlessly pushing them to innovate and both use and develop products for the new social media markets. Sigmund runs an innovation roundtable in Orange County and speaks on both innovation and using social media.
